As part of activities to ensure proper Menstrual Hygiene Management in the District , the Department in collaboration with Ghana Education Service (GES), Ghana Health Service (GHS) and To Live in Hope Social Organization ( An NGO) on the 24th of November,2023 organized a workshop on how to sew reusable cotton pads using available local materials that are readily available. The motive of this training was to equip the various stakeholders on how to train the girl child on how to sew their own pads in order to save cost. In attendance were a total of Twenty participants (20). Five(5) from Social Welfare and Community Development, Five (5) from Ghana Education Service (GES), Two (2) from Ghana Health Service (GHS) , One student from KNUST offering Social workand rehabilitation, Two facilitators from Twedie Technical School and Five girls from selected schools within the district.
