DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE CAUTIONED THE KANTINKYIRI RESIDENCE OVER OPEN DEFECATION

District Chief Executive of Atwima Kwanwoma District cautioned residence of Atwima Kwanwoma District over open defecation to avoid an outbreak of cholera. Hon. Karikari said this on Thursday January 13, 2022, when commissioning a 20-Seater WC Toilet facility at Kantinkyiri, a community in the Atwima Kwanwoma District. He therefore commended the government for it interventions to improve sanitation situation in the country and gradually reducing cholera outbreak. Hon. Prince Karikari urged the people to properly maintain the toilet facility and not leave it to deteriorate. He urged all the landlords in the community to abide by the one house one toilet policy by the government. The head of works, Mr. Moses K. Akuffo, commended the contractor for his dedication on the project and applauded management of the district for making it possible for Kantinkyirin to have a modern toilet facility.He urged the chiefs and the people of the community to put up a proper layout plan for easy revenue mobilization. These revenue in the long run would be used to maintain the facility and cater for other needs.The Assembly member for the community, Hon Owusu Boateng expressed his profound gratitude and assured the DCE they would maintain the facility and always put it in good use.In attendance were the Coordinating Director, Madam Eunice Korankye, all Heads of Department and Nana Ntiamoah, the chairman of the program, and other officials from the District Assembly office.
