REFUSE EVACUATION

During the fourth quarter, two refuse evacuations took place, all located in Twedie. The dumping site at Twedie was so bad that it was causing a lot of nuisances to the inhabitants (offensive odour, flies breeding). Any time it rains, all the refuse are collected into individual homes making it uncomfortable for people to stay in their homes.

Method of evacuation

  1. Evacuation of land by evacuator
  2. All refuse were pushed into a pit
  3. Pit were leveled with sand to prevent offensive odour
  4. Refuse container was placed on the site for dumping (pay as you dump system)
